TD Asset Management Inc. Expands Investment Lineup with Launch of TD Diversified Bond Pool and TD Q International Dividend ETF (TQID)

Canada NewsWire

The new offerings draw on TDAM's fixed income and quantitative equity expertise, providing more options to help investors reach their financial goals.

TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2026 /CNW/ -- TD Asset Management Inc. ("TDAM"), the manager of TD Mutual Funds and TD Exchange-Traded Funds (TD ETFs), today announced the launch of two new investment solutions: TD Diversified Bond Pool (the "Fund") and TD Q International Dividend ETF (Ticker: TQID; or, the "ETF"). These launches expand TDAM's investment lineup with fixed income and international dividend solutions designed to help Canadian investors pursue income, diversification and their long-term financial goals.

TD Diversified Bond Pool

A short duration fund, purpose-built for today's fixed income environment, TD Diversified Bond Pool seeks to generate income and the potential for long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in, or gaining exposure to, fixed income securities and other income-producing securities. The Fund offers:

  • Reduced Interest Rate Risk: Aims to provide investors with reduced overall fixed income volatility
  • Attractive yield potential: Designed to deliver enhanced income potential over investment-grade government and corporate bonds
  • Yield-Plus Exposure: Ability to add up to 25% non-investment grade exposure while the Fund's portfolio maintains while maintaining an overall investment-grade credit quality profile
  • Active, research-driven management: Backed by TDAM's deep credit expertise and disciplined investment approach

Anchored by TD funds such as the TD Canadian Corporate Bond Fund as a core building block, the Fund also has the measured flexibility to expand the opportunity set beyond domestic markets and also leverage select third-party solutions. Regular monitoring provides flexibility for portfolio managers to allocate weights to where opportunities reside, using additional tools to help improve income potential and total return.

"The TD Diversified Bond Pool is an active short credit solution with an income and quality focus," said Jennifer Hartviksen, CFA, Managing Director, Head of Global Fixed Income, TDAM. "The Fund targets a 3 to 4.5-year duration where interest rate risk is reduced while still benefiting from higher yield potential. Anchored in investment-grade credit, the Fund seeks to enhance diversification and income potential by accessing multiple sectors across the global credit spectrum in a measured, disciplined way."

TD Q International Dividend ETF (TQID)

Building on the success of its suite of dividend focused ETFs, the TD Quantitative Equity Team at TDAM is expanding the suite into international equities with the launch of TQID. The ETF:

  • Invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of income-producing securities of issuers outside of Canada and the United States which may include, but is not limited to, dividend-paying common and preferred shares and REITs
  • Utilizes a quantitative equity strategy to identify and optimize exposure to stocks that have above-average dividend yields and/or issuers that are expected to pay out increasing dividends over time

"Designed to generate income and moderate capital growth, TQID uses a data-driven approach developed over more than two decades by our team to select companies that have above-average dividend yields or may increase dividends over time," said Julien Palardy, CFA, Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Investing, TDAM. "With TQID, investors can broaden their return horizons with a solution designed to achieve a low correlation to domestic equity markets and diversification benefits. TQID also complements other ETFs in the TD Q Dividend suite, providing a flexible toolkit that includes the TD Q Canadian Dividend ETF (TQCD) and TD Q Global Dividend ETF (TQGD)."
